Jill Cerasani

Coach

Jill has been with us since her daughter joined the team back in 2012. Jill has worked as a coach and trained many swimmers since the day that her son got into the pool. Jill brings her love of swimming back to the pool after being a synchronized swimmer in high school.

Asa Cerasani

Head Coach

Asa has been with the program as Head coach for two years now. He brings with him first- hand knowledge as a varsity swimmer at Akron High School. He has a desire to make every swimmer work to their highest potential and a passion to make this club the best it can be.

Julie West

Meet Manager

Julie's son and daughter have been swimmers with SWAT since 2008.  Throughout their years she has had many roles with the team, “photographer”, “fun coordinator”, life guard, co-treasurer and Meet Manager. She has enjoyed the friendships she has made. She may not be at the pool very often (since her daughter is a sophomore in college & son is a Senior at S.G.I) but feel free to ask her anything, she has become quite the guru of swimming! She also checks the SWAT email and Facebook page often...

Tori Piatek
Coach

Tori has been with the club for over 12 years, first as a young swimmer and now as a coach for the 2nd year. Tori brings with her skills and determination that she developed in club and on the varsity swim team. These attributes she wants to instill into every swimmer. She has been teaching swimmers technique for years and prides herself on making sure to cheer on every swimmer in the pool even if they are from another team! As a college junior she may not be at the pool often but she is always cheering you on!

About Us

Peggy Piatek
Coach/Administrative Official

Peggy has been working with SWAT for over 11+ years. With 4 swimmers in the club she has learned a few things about swimming and the USA swim program. Coming to the club she only enjoyed watching the sport, but after watching the coaches, past swimmers and lots of hands on learning, she has come to really enjoy all the different aspects of the team experience. She has worn many hats and most of them at the same time; she has managed the team, officiated and coached over the years. Seeing the athletes achieve their goals is worth all the time spent at the pool(s)!
